[...] S age Bionetworks, in collaboration with partners from the Centre for Mental Health Law & P olicy, Indian Law Society, in India, Higher Health and Walter Sisulu University in South A frica, the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford in the UK, and the University of Washington i n the United States, developed and executed the pilot study. [...] Four motifs are evidenced throughout the design r equirements: issues of e quity and global inequity, t he tensions between the risks and b enefits of data sharing, sources of bias in the data collected, and the role(s) of youth in the f uture GMHD. [...] T he purpose of these meetings was twofold: to ensure the project was progressing to t imeline and to ensure the project was progressing in line with the project vision (i.e., both p articipant-driven best practice science-driven, with the perspectives of youth at the f orefront). [...] The group consistently raised the importance of maximising the diversity of youth p articipants in the study (advisors and study participants), promoted youth-centred p articipatory research methods (including mentored citizen science approaches), and a dvocated for measures to ensure the equitable use of data generated by the current study a nd future uses of a databank.
