Since its establishment in 2010, the AGRODEP Modeling Consortium has sought to build a critical mass of first-class modeling experts within Africa’s research community that can respond to the emerging and long-term demand for analytical knowledge on the continent. [...] The goal of AGRODEP is to create a group of modelers that would take a leading role in the study of strategic development questions and the broader economic growth and policy debate facing African countries, including helping meet the analytical needs of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) implementation agenda.
