The research centre, which consists of the Institute of Economics, the Institute for Regional Studies and the Institute of World Economics, carries out theoretical and empirical scientific research into Hungarian economics, the international economic and political environment and in the fringes of other social sciences. [...] In the field of regional research: – the international context of regional development, the cohesion and structural policies of the European Union; – geopolitical and geoeconomic studies, including o frontier research, o the territorial development of Eastern, Central and South-Eastern Europe, o the regional transformation of the Carpathian Basin, o research on other macro-regions of high geopolit. [...] In the field of world economic research: – the changing conditions for the international competitiveness of the Hungarian economy in the global economy of the 21st century; – the medium-term evolution of the world economy, in particular the transformation of the structure of production, finance and consumption; – the shifting balance of power between the main traditional and new players in the wor. [...] The Director General is elected by the Governing Board of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network Secretariat for a maximum term of five years, on the basis of a competitive application, and the President of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network Secretariat exercises the powers of the employer. [...] § (4) of the Hungarian State Treasury, I hereby certify that the text of the present Memorandum of Association, consolidated with amendments, corresponds to the content of the Memorandum of Association as amended by the amendment to the Memorandum of Association dated 10 December 2020, and applicable from 1 January 2021, under the amending document No 327/2/2020/JIF dated 10 December 2020.
