iii Acknowledgements The Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), working with the implementing partners of the CAADP-XP4 project (AFAAS, CORAF, CCARDESA and ASARECA) wishes to acknowledge the contribution of the various organizations that partnered to develop and implement the second Biennial Africa CSA Stakeholders Conference as part of the Science and Partner. [...] This is owing to the political will of the leaders of thought at the continental level and the collective will of the technocrats and citizens. [...] The role of this authority is to enhance the greening of the country and the provision of carbon sink in the vegetation. [...] We need to think seriously about the implication of the different decisions we want to take to COP27 on the livelihood of our people and on the quality of life. [...] My country like most of the world, went through the COVID lockdowns and so I had not even met all of the staff in the ministry or even gotten to know the sector; the broader agricultural sector, and there we were faced with the sheer vulnerability of our food systems that depend heavily on the outside world.
