Given the very limited inflows of Chinese FDI in Macedonia thus far, the basic assumption to verify or falsify is that reforms in the area of investment policy in the WB region will lead to attracting more FDI in the region and in particularly in Macedonia, especially by Chinese companies. [...] A questionnaire was used to survey their degree of familiarity with the conditions to invest in Macedonia, as well as their perceptions regarding the visibility and publicity of investment opportunities, the ease of investing and doing business in the country, the main obstacles that they may face and the priorities when selecting an investment destination in general. [...] In this context, the link between the highest political level and the civil servants working in the area of investments should be strengthened, in order to improve the oversight, management and quality of policy implementation.
