Title line 2 Title line 1 AUTOR | DATE MANDATE REPORT SCAR Fisheries and Aquaculture Research SWG Mandate: 1 June 2020 – 31 May 2023 During this mandate period, the SCAR fisheries and aquaculture research SWG (SCAR FISH SWG) has contributed to enhancing the sustainable development of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors in Europe. [...] Summary of major activities and outputs The active networking at SCAR FISH SWG meetings among the members and standing observers, and at times, invited representatives from, e.g., the candidate HE Partnerships, has enabled: • information sharing and staying updated on recent national and EU-level developments related to research and innovation in the domains of fisheries and aquaculture • identify. [...] The SCAR FISH SWG has provided input, e.g., to: • the preparation of HE Cluster 6 Partnerships - Sustainable Blue Economy, Water4All, Biodiversa+, Sustainable Food Systems and Animal Health and Welfare (SCAR FISH SWG is in the working group of EUP AHW) • the Berlin Declaration of the SCAR members on the 5th Foresight Exercise • the development of the European Strategic Knowledge and Innovation age. [...] The SCAR FISH SWG has also actively disseminated its results to relevant stakeholders and pledged its main actions to the Charter for the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”. [...] The focus is on advancing the knowledge of NBS towards a sustainable fisheries and aquaculture development in the EU.
