[...] “The state can greatly benefit from civil society support.” 15 She referred to the experience of the 2022 floods as opposed to the 2010 floods that made it evident that there was a gaping hole in terms of the kind of support that the civil society was able to provide. [...] He suggested that to achieve best practices in CVE, there was a pressing need to pay close attention to the formulation of policies and the development of inclusive programmes both in Pakistan and beyond.
