The exhibition in the Art Gallery, ‘Aadi—Art of the Gonds’, presented the vibrant creativity and rich imagination of the Gond painters of Patangarh and Madla in Madhya Pradesh. [...] –‘Air Pollution: Its Impact and Mitigation’ was the subject of a seminar in which the participants introduced critical aspects of the problem of air pollution; scientific knowledge about air pollution and its impact on health; the role of the social system and governance structures in managing air pollution; and the role of the human system in dealing with air pollution. [...] The issues discussed were the linkage between planetary health and human health; the role of microbes in human life; the virulence of the Sars-Cov-2 virus and human immunity to the virus; and, the importance of pandemic plans, stakeholder mapping, awareness campaigns, tracking-testing-isolating, time management, and follow up to manage the risk of future pandemics. [...] ‘The Genesis of Modern Art’ was a talk by Sujata Prasad, Adviser, NGMA; there was a curated gallery walkthrough of the exhibition ‘Hastantaran’, a retrospective of Nandalal Bose; a live studio session inspired by the maestros of the Bengal School; and the screening of the film: The Inner Eye by Satyajit Ray, his tribute to Benode Behari Mukherjee, legendary artist and one of the pioneers of Indian. [...] The discussants sought to examine the roots of the economic crisis in these countries in India’s neighbourhood, and the politics of it due to the intertwined role of domestic politics and external players.
