The award shall be known as the “Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga PhD Doctoral Scholarship Grant” which forms part of the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Futures Programme. [...] Assessment criteria a) Contribution and alignment of the PhD Doctoral degree programme and research to the NPM Matakitenga Research Framework. [...] Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga may suspend or terminate any award, or require the forfeiture of such proportion of the award emolument as the Committee may determine, if it is satisfied that the award holder is not diligently pursuing the objectives and outputs of the completion grant, or has failed to comply with any of the terms and conditions on which the award was granted; and an award shall be term. [...] The rights to ownership, commercialisation and sharing of benefits from any Intellectual Property arising out of the grant holder’s research work shall remain as a matter between the award holder and the institution at which he or she was enrolled for the PhD Doctoral degree programme. [...] Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga may vary the conditions or regulations relating to the said awards and the granting and tenure thereof and add further or substitute other conditions provided that no such conditions shall be inconsistent with the general purpose of the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga PhD Doctoral Scholarship grant programme.
