In the July 2023 survey, 25.7% of the 711 respondents expressed satisfaction with the HKSAR government, 28.8% said they were dissatisfied and 44.3% answered “in-between”. [...] When comparing the July 2023 figures with those from May 2023, the differences in the average ratings of the three secretaries were statistically insignificant. [...] In conclusion, the survey results in July 2023 indicate that all the popularity indices (the public satisfaction level with the HKSAR government’s performance, the performance ratings of the Chief Executive and the three secretaries, and trust in the HKSAR government and the Central Government) were not significantly different from those in May 2023 (significance test shows the differences were no. [...] However, the public satisfaction level with the HKSAR government’s performance, the performance ratings of the Chief Executive and the three secretaries, and trust in the HKSAR government and the Central Government in July 2023 were significantly higher than those in July 2022 (significance test shows the differences were all statistically significant). [...] Furthermore, the data in this survey was weighted based on the probability of the respondents being selected via dual-frame sampling design and relevant age-sex distribution of the population published by the Census and Statistics Department before analysis.
