Within this context, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC; hereafter “the Sponsor”) asked the CCA to convene an expert panel to look at the socioeconomic impacts of health data sharing in Canada, focusing on the benefits and risks associated with the increased sharing of health data; legal and regulatory considerations related to health data governance; and opportunities to implement solutions.
