Summary The Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime is a network of prominent law enforcement, governance and development practitioners who are dedicated to seeking new and innovative strategies and responses to organized crime. Currently, the GI-TOC has five organized-crime observatories and allied networks against organized crime at both country and regional level that focus on the priorities of that region: North Africa and the Sahel (NAS-OBS), based in Valletta, Malta; South Eastern Europe (SEE-OBS), based in Vienna, Austria; East and Southern Africa (ESA-OBS), based in Cape Town, South Africa; with a sub-office in Nairobi, Kenya; Latin America (CAM-OBS), based in Guatemala; Asia-Pacific (APA-OBS); and West Africa (WEA-OBS).
