Halting and reversing desertification and land degradation and restoring degraded ecosystems and sustainably managing our land is essential for reducing risk and mitigating the effects of drought. [...] NBS can meaningfully reduce the risk of flood and drought in 1/3 of the places across the globe where flood and drought hazards are expected to increase due to climate change, including areas within Southern Africa, Europe, Brazil and the Western US that exhibit both high NbS potential and high future drought risk.
