The decision was taken in the meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Action Plan (NAP) under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. [...] During the meeting, a detailed review of the ongoing anti-terrorism campaign and the internal security situation were discussed and the progress on the multi-pronged principles of the NAP was also reviewed. [...] With regard to appeal filed by Imran Khan and his wife on the verdict of the Iddat case, the judiciary has asked the sessions court to decide the matter in a month. [...] Given the merit of the case, there remains less chances of the suspension of the sentence at the moment. [...] The opposition is saying that military operation is not the solution in KP and that the new operation is an effort to control the politics of KP and delegitimize the government in place in the province.
