The following sections outline the changes to the questions and the updated metadata for each area and provide a description of the ad hoc module. [...] As the next step and as part of the main data collection (for the ad hoc module), national researchers were instructed to assess the availability from parliaments of public data related to the number of women and men MPs. [...] The reference period is the year of the collection – that is, the situation at the time of the data collection. [...] Limitations and challenges The data collection highlighted the limitations of the measurement framework and the challenges of consistent interpretation of responses between the 2019 and 2023 data collections.
