• Sint Maarten is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. 3
• Due to its location within the hurricane belt Sint Maarten is highly susceptible to natural disasters and adverse 3

• In April 2018 the Government of the Netherlands established the Sint Maarten Reconstruction Recovery and 4
• Resilience Trust Fund SXM TF for up to 470 million to support rapid and sustainable recovery from Hurricane Irma 4
• Tourism and construction are primary drivers of Sint Maartens economic recovery from Hurricanes Irma and Maria 4
• The Ministry of Public Health Social Development and Labor VSA is the government agency responsible for the 4
• MHF is the main provider of a range of mental health care services in the country 4

• Due to staffing constraints and limited facility capacity MHF is unable to meet the current demand for services 5
