The Case for Change: Your Feedback

18 Oct 2021

The Case for Change is the Review’s early thinking about what needs to change in the children’s social care system. It was published in June 2021 and set out the problems early, giving the opportunity to understand our thinking and tell us whether we have missed or misunderstood anything. We invited feedback through our online form which asked for people’s views on the questions we posed in the document. This closed on 13th August 2021. We received more than 300 responses via our feedback form and email and in addition, the review team met with a wide range of individuals and organisations using the issues raised in the Case for Change to guide the conversation. In October 2021, we published a report ‘The Case for Change: your feedback’ to reflect back what we have heard through your submissions. The feedback summary shares the overall messages we have heard from answers to questions in each chapter and we have highlighted where there is agreement as well as where views differ. The document also shares where people or organisations want to challenge how we have considered the evidence. Sharing this summary is part of the review’s ongoing commitment to an open dialogue.
