Although slowly declining, Paraguay's adolescent fertility remains above the average for the region and upper-middle income countries. Boys are 6 percentage points less likely than girls to complete lower secondary education. Young women in Paraguay are 17 percentage points more likely than young men to be out of employment, not in education, or in training. Women are 5 percentage points more likely than men to have vulnerable jobs. Despite improvements towards gender parity in access to accounts, financial inclusion is low in Paraguay. Women do 3 times more unpaid domestic and care work than men.
