Summary
This note presents an overview of climate change risks and priorities to respond to coastal and marine economy and is organized into six sections. Section 2 focuses on the climate change risk to coastal and marine economy. Section 3 highlights the climate change risk to key coastal and marine economic activities of fisheries and aquaculture, coastal tourism, ports, offshore energy, mineral resourcesextraction, and desalination. Section 4 focuses on the planning and management needs of coastal and marine economy to adequately respond to climate change risk. Section 5 examines priorities in addressing climate change risks to coastal and marine economic activities. Section 6 examines the Government of Egypt's approach and priorities of Blue Economy Strategy.
