The State of Carbon Dioxide Removal

The State of Carbon Dioxide Removal

The State of Carbon Dioxide Removal is the first global project to assess the state of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and the gap we need to close. It aims to build a community, bridge data gaps and support the scale up of CDR responsibly and equitably. The project has been devised and convened by Oliver Geden (German Institute for International and Security Affairs, SWP), Jan Minx (Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, (MCC), Berlin), Gregory Nemet (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Stephen M Smith (University of Oxford). Each are academics in the field of CDR, lead investigators within major CDR assessment projects, and IPCC authors.
