Caribbean Policy Research Institute

The Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CAPRI) is a public policy think tank based at the University of the West Indies. CAPRI's mission is to promote evidence-based policy dialogue within Caribbean societies. The institute publishes research in the areas of Economics, Governance, Sustainability and Social Issues. Some of CAPRI's most notable research includes studies on the impact of climate change on the Caribbean, the role of small and medium enterprises in economic development, and the need for regional integration. The institute has also been active in promoting public debate on issues such as the governance of natural resources, the future of agriculture, and the impact of globalization on the Caribbean. CAPRI is committed to continuing its work to promote evidence-based policy dialogue within Caribbean societies. The institute believes that sound policy-making is essential for the sustainable development of the Caribbean region.
